Patrick J Patton Piano Vocals ..... and More

Hi there,

In this day and age, Patrick J. Patton is one of those rare Entertainers,  a real "all rounder ".

The same can also be said of his vocal range. From the Standards  of the 30's, to the pop hits of today, it's all in a night's "work" for this gifted entertainer. However, Patrick doesn't regard playing piano and singing  songs as work. To him it's pure fun and enjoyment.

Patrick was born in Ireland to music loving parents and like his brothers and sisters before him , Patrick attended "Piano Lessons".
Unlike millions before him, Patrick found that he enjoyed it and carried on,  taking examinations with the London College of Music.

Patrick moved to London in the early 1970's, working in an office by day and playing the pub scene by night. Signing on with the legendary "Bandwagon Agency", Patrick felt he's played in every pub and restaurant in and around London, without ever once meeting the Agency's founder, Al.  In 1980, foreign shores beckoned and Patrick found himself taking up music full time, working the British pub and Cabaret scene in Benidorm, Spain.

Four years there, playing and singing in the famous " U.K. Bar", "The Star & Garter" & " Roaring 20's" Bars, taught him, he says, the golden rule of live  entertaining ....... "Read your audience and give them what THEY want."  That rule has kept him in good stead over the years.

Tiring of the "good" life, Patrick decided to return to England and in 1984 he settled in Southport Lancs. No sooner were his bags unpacked than he clocked up a summer season on Southport's Pier as Resident Piano Vocalist, Cocktail Piano Work in The Scarisbrick Hotel and numerous engagements all over the North West.

In 1994, a chance reply in answer to an advert in "The Stage" put Patrick back on the International scene once again as Cocktail Piano Vocalist on P.& 0. North Sea Ferries. This was followed by a winter season doing the cabaret circuit in Benidorm, his first return visit since the 80's

From 1995 / 1996 Patrick has done long term contracts performing in the prestigious Inter-Continental & Maritime Hotels in Germany, Holland and Luxembourg and in 1997, a nine month residency as Solo Entertainer in The Carlton Palms Hotel ,Madeira.

The Filia Rheni
1998/1999 saw Patrick's career take another International turn as he started a series of Summer seasons as Entertainments Officer/ Solo Entertainer on "The Filia Rheni", "Rex Rheini" and "Queen of Holland "  Saga Rhine River Cruisers.

2000 saw Patrick on Premier Cruise Line's "Island Breeze" and "Sea Breeze" for 9 months as Solo Entertainer/Cocktail Pianist, cruising The Canaries, Morocco, Madeira, The Carribean, the USA and Canada, a super start to the new Century.

Over the last few years Patrick's career has followed a familiar pattern, performing mostly on cruise ships, joining the QE2 fulltime in 2005 , and staying until it's final cruise to Dubai in November 2008.  He said "Being part of the Legend was half the fun."

Most recently Patrick has joined Royal Carribean Cruise Line and has performed on "Jewel of the Seas" and "Independance of the Seas "

Patrick is a true International Performer. Whether it's Fur Elise, a Lloyd Webber Medley, Westlife, The Hokey Cokey or an International Medley..............
